The Sippican Lands Trust has a couple of events scheduled for this month encouraging residents to enjoy the outdoors. Read on to learn more.

Photography workshop Aug. 22

The Sippican Lands Trust will offer a workshop with local photographer John Robson on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m. The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 23.

Bring a camera and join Robson on a guided photography tour of the trust’s eastern properties. Meet at Peirson Woods on Point Road.

This event is free for members and $20 for nonmembers. Registration is required.

Hagemann Woods story walk

The Sippican Lands Trust will post its third story walk of the summer at the Hagemann Woods Property off of Point Road starting on Saturday, Aug. 8 and continuing through the month.

The highlighted book will be “Bugs Galore” by Peter Stein and illustrated by Bob Staake.

Story walks promote literacy in nature and offer an opportunity for families to spend time together in the outdoors.

Hagemann Woods is a new trail that is located on the left side of Point Road just before the turn onto Delano Road.
