MARION — The Sippican Lands Trust is hosting an Outdoor Holiday Open House at its Osprey Marsh, Peirson Woods and White Eagle properties on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Visitors to the Peirson Woods property can enjoy a holiday StoryWalk titled “Night Tree” by Eve Bunting. Night Tree is a story about a young boy and his family who decorate a tree with popcorn, apples, oranges, and sunflower seed balls as a gift to the animals of the forest. Visitors can participate in hanging their own-animal safe ornament at Peirson Woods and learn more about upcoming plans to improve the trails and properties for greater access to the outdoors.
Guests can also take a walk around the White Eagle Cranberry Bog or visit the accessible boardwalk at the Osprey Marsh property as part of SLT’s Outdoor Holiday Open House.
The Lands Trusts asks that guests dress appropriately for the day’s weather and wear a face covering. In the event of inclement weather, the open house will be on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. If the event is postponed to Sunday, December 13, information will be posted to SLT’s website and Facebook page.
