Tucker Roy, third from the left, and Kamden Leaver recieved the David C. DuBois Scholarship. Recent graduates across the South Coast have received scholarships from the South Coast Community Foundation who partners with area families, organizations and businesses to support students.
The SouthCoast Community Foundation proudly celebrated its 2026 class of scholarship recipients on Tuesday, June 2, awarding more than $900,000 in scholarships to 124 area students.
Three Old Rochester Regional High School including Amanda Tomasso, Bruce Fortin and Tucker Roy received scholarships.
Two Tabor Academy graduates, Kamden Leaver and Nishaye Gray, also received scholarships.
Amanda Tomasso of Mattapoisett received the Jack A. Conway Scholarship.
Bryce Fortin of Mattapoisett received the Ladies’ Branch of the New Bedford Port Society Scholarship.
Tucker Roy of Rochester received the David C. DuBois Scholarship.
Kamden Leaver, a current college student, also received the David C. DuBois Scholarship.
Nishaye Gray received the Dr. Frederick M Kalisz Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
Held at UMass Dartmouth, the ceremony brought together students, families, donors, volunteers, educators, and community leaders to celebrate the achievements of this year's recipients.
The program featured a reflective keynote address from UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Dr. Mark Fuller, along with words of encouragement from Scholarship Fund Advisor and Committee Member Merry Conway and Scholarship Committee Chair Dr. Erik Domingues, himself a 2002 recipient of a Foundation scholarship.
The Foundation's scholarship program continues to be one of its most significant investments helping students pursue college degrees, workforce training and other educational pathways.
