Three new covid cases in the Tri-Town

The Tri-Town had three new cases of covid in the week leading up to July 15, the most in a single week since the beginning of June, with one case coming from Marion and two from Rochester, according to state covid data.

Despite the cases, all three towns remain “gray” on the state’s covid risk map, meaning each town has under 10 ongoing cases.

Vaccination rates saw an increase of about 1% across all three towns.

75% of Marion and Mattapoisett residents are fully vaccinated for covid, both up 1%. In Rochester 56% are fully vaccinated, also up 1%.

82% of Marion and Mattapoisett residents have one dose of a covid vaccine, up 1% for Mattapoisett and steady for Marion. Rochester gained a percentage point for the first time in four weeks, reaching 61% with at least one dose.
