Tri-Town Against Racism held gathering, book club

On Monday Dec. 12, Tri-Town Against Racism held a gathering at the Friends Meeting House for community members who wanted to learn more about the organization and volunteer opportunities. About 30 community members attended and broke out into small groups to learn about ways to get involved in fund raising, community engagement, and technology.

Tri-Town Against Racism held its monthly book club on Thursday, Dec. 15. Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe, a graphic memoir that explores the authors gender identity generated a great conversation led by Marion resident, Kate Hartley.

The next Community Book Club will discuss The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. It will be held at the Friends Meeting House Community Hall in Mattapoisett on Thursday Jan. at 7 p.m.

Tri-Town Against Racism is celebrating the success of its two Little Free Diverse Libraries located at Old Wharf Landing in Marion and Ned’s Point in Mattapoisett by asking the community for donations to help restock those LFDLs to get even more diverse books into the hands of community members of all ages in 2023.
