Tri-Town Against Racism to host virtual community meeting Jan. 11

Jan 4, 2022

As a new year begins and in the wake of the vandalism of the Little Free Diverse Library on Ned’s Point in Mattapoisett, Tri-Town Against Racism is hosting a virtual town hall at 7 p.m. Jan. 11 to discuss local efforts and how to get the community involved.

Registration is required and community members are encouraged to provide questions about diversity, inclusion and allyship.

The Little Free Diverse Library that was vandalized is similar to little free libraries but the books involved promote diversity.

The door had been ripped off its hinges and smashed, several books had been torn apart and the others had been strewn around on the ground to be destroyed by the rain, and the post was loose, suggesting that the vandal or vandals had tried to remove it from the ground entirely.
