Trivia, plant workshops and more at Taber Library
MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion has a host of events planned for the coming weeks including a trivia night and more.
On Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m., enter the second annual “Lizzy T” trivia night fundraiser.
Gather a team of five to six members and compete in a battle of wits to benefit the library. There is a $2000 team entry fee. Topics include local history, sports, pop culture and more.
The event will be held at the Marion Music Hall, refreshments including beer and wine will be available.
Then on May 7 and 19 at 6 p.m., the library is hosting “Tables of Content,” a fundraising event Fundraising event that pairs a delicious dinner in a Marion neighbor’s home with a lively book discussion.
Tickets are $75 per person.
On Wednesday, March 29 at 4 p.m. the library will hold a “grow your first plant” program.
Celebrate the reopening of the library’s seed library by decorating a flower pot with a funny face and planting a quick growing plant.
On April 4 from 6 to 8 p.m., start the month with some self care and join a paint by numbers relaxation studio.
Each participant will receive one paint by number canvas and paint. Bring friends, grab some refreshments and get painting. This event is limited to 10 participants, teens and adults. Register at the library.
Join cookbook author Liz Barbour on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30 for “eat your weeds,” to learn more about the art of backyard foraging.
Additionally, the library holds story times every Wednesday for babies, and Friday for all ages from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
