MATTAPOISETT — Art inspired by imagination alone, with some help from a common tech device, will be on display at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library.
During August, the library will present a new digital art exhibit called “Digital Illustrations” by recent high school graduate G. Santos.
“Santos designed and created a series of illustrations using only an iPad and his imagination,” according to the Mattapoisett Library. “With this exhibit, Santos aims to honor the old with the new. Look for hints of Poe and Gorey with nods to Melville and McCarthy.”
The exhibit debuts Aug. 1 and runs to Aug. 31.
Santos is a Fairhaven resident and self-taught artist, wire sculptor, digital illustrator, and amateur animator, according to the Mattapoisett Library.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
