MARION — The Nasketucket Bird Club and Sippican Lands Trust are teaming up for a trip around Marion to view winter ducks and other avian visitors on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 9 a.m. starting at the Silvershell Beach parking area. The group will carpool or caravan to overlooks and some Sippican Lands Trust properties around Marion to birdwatch.
The Duck Waddle is free, and no registration is required.
Some of the sites may require a quarter mile walk to get water views. Organizers suggest that participants bring water, a pair of binoculars and dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
