Though Tabor Academy hosts a public skate on every Saturday in the winter, the Jan. 20 skate session will be a little extra special. When families pay $5 a person to skate there, all of the funds will go toward funding the Marion Fireworks for summer 2019. The public skate is open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Marion fireworks are entirely funded by a fundraising committee, and are not supported by the town. If the committee fails to raise enough funds for the fireworks, they will not be held in 2019.
