End of the line for ‘Idol’ hopeful
After making it into the top 30, it appears Jillian Jensen’s stint on the singing talent show American Idol may be at an end.
The Rochester native got a “golden ticket” after singing at the Boston auditions, and fans eagerly waited to see what would happen when she got to Hollywood.
On the Wednesday, Feb. 12 broadcast, judges told Jensen that her performances warranted her a coveted spot in the top 30 contestants – 15 female, 15 male.
But on a live episode on Tuesday night featuring the female contestants, Jensen was one of five not given the opportunity to sing by judges.
In 2012 Jensen procured a spot on anther singing competition, The X Factor, along with fellow Rochester resident Jennel Garcia. Jensen was voted off, but has since released several singles.
After the show, Jensen tweeted her thanks to supporters and also said she has a record in the works.
