Volunteers needed for Sippican Lands Trust site
Jul 17, 2014
Volunteers are needed to spruce up the Sippican Lands Trust newest property on Sunday, July 20 at 1 p.m. The trust recently acquired a property that abuts Howland Marsh. This parcel is currently under going improvements to provide public access.
Volunteers are needed to add wood chips to a section of the recently cut path. Volunteers should meet on Point Road near Osprey Marsh. A sign is posted to mark the property. Bring wheel barrows, shovels and wear appropriate foot wear if you plan to attend. The property is wet and does have some poison ivy under foot.
In the past month, trust volunteers added a parking lot, kiosk, sign post and a trail that leads to the marsh.
