Actor James Spader, the star of NBC’s “The Blacklist,” has purchased a home on Fraser Way for just over $1 million.

Spader, a multiple Emmy award winner, bought the house from the Fraser Way Indenture of Trust in January for $1,174,133, according to Plymouth County Registry of Deeds documents.

Spader is listed as a member of the Fraser Way Trust along with two other individuals, according to county records. The price includes the purchase of Meadow Island, which is located just off shore from the property in Sippican Harbor. Fraser Way is located off of Point Road, near The Kittansett Club.

County records also state that Spader’s mother, Jean, deeded a home on Fraser Way to her children in 1997. Jean and her husband Stoddard, both now deceased, retired to Marion after careers in education. Spader has long ties to Marion, where he spent summers as a child and also worked in the Marion General Store.

Spader was born in Boston and attended private schools in Massachusetts before moving to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

Spader’s movie credits include “Pretty in Pink,” “Wall Street” and “Stargate.” For his television work on “Boston Legal” and “The Practice” he earned a total of three Emmy awards. He’s also been nominated for 10 Screen Actors’ Guild Awards and three Golden Globes.
