Thomas Molloy, 77

Thomas A. Molloy, 77, of East Falmouth, husband of Diana (Frabotta) Molloy, passed away at home with his family at his side, on Friday April 6. Tom was born in Boston and grew up in Norfolk MA, the son of the late Philip and Gladys (Lloyd) Molloy.

Tom served the community of Wareham for 27 years as Deputy Director of Community Development, writing and implementing grants for supporting small business, helping young and old to fix, improve and be able to obtain or remain in homes. He served our country in the Army in Vietnam and later served 20 years in the Mass Air National Guard. He also drove for Kennedy/White Tie Limousine meeting people from all over the world. In his retirement he enjoyed the people he met as a courier for Cape Cod Healthcare’s C-Lab. He also volunteered for the American Cancer Society as a driver bringing patients to their appointments near and far.

He was the father of Aiden Molloy and his wife Dee of Sandwich, Justine Molloy Patierno and her husband Guy Patierno of East Falmouth, Jilline Molloy Fearons and husband George Fearons of Mattapoisett, Taryn Molloy Dean, Caitlin Kennedy Lynch and her husband Timothy Lynch, and Michael Kennedy and his wife Jocelyn, all of East Falmouth.

He was a loving “Bumpa” to Ciara and Aiden Jr. Molloy, Dempsey, Juliet, Mia and Finn Patierno, Patrick, Seamus, Maggie, Jack, Molly and Liam Fearons, Thomas, Benjamin and Allicen Dean and Alexis, Amaya and Jermaine Andrade. He was the brother of: Patricia Johnson of Plainville and John Molloy of New Jersey. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends here in the U.S. and in Ireland.

Tom was the husband of the late Elizabeth Joyce Molloy for 31 years until her passing in 1992 and brother of the late Florence Abbate, Philip Molloy Jr. and Mary Nastapoulas.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name may be made to the Falmouth Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship supporting continuing education in healthcare for Falmouth Hospital employees.
