Rochester receives wave of applicants for open Town Administrator position
ROCHESTER — The search for a new town administrator in Rochester is well underway, according to Interim Town Administrator Suzanne Szyndlar.
Szyndlar, who took on the mantle of Interim Town Administrator in April after former Town Administrator Glenn Cannon resigned to take a job in Carver, said the town administrator search committee is accepting applications until Tuesday, July 9.
Cannon had served as Rochester Town Administrator since March 2022.
The search committee currently consists of Szyndlar and Rochester Select Board member Brad Morse.
“On [July 17], the search committee will begin reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews from there,” said Szyndlar. She added that “to be guaranteed that your resume is going to be looked at,” applicants should submit by July 17.
Szyndlar said the town has received “about ten or so” applicants thus far in the process.
According to Szyndlar, the position will remain open until it is filled.
