Youth baseball will soon be in full swing

ROCHESTER — Old Rochester Youth Baseball is set to go into full swing Saturday, May 3 as the organization hosts its annual opening day parade.
The parade, which is weather permitting, will begin at 9 a.m. at Dexter Field and end at Gifford’s Park.
The Farm League and T-ball teams will have their first games on May 3 following the parade.
Teams in the major and minor leagues began their season on Monday, April 28.
Old Rochester Youth Baseball provides kids living in Marion, Mattapoisett, Rochester and Wareham a healthy environment to play baseball, focusing on encouraging participation, developing character and discipline and promoting teamwork.
The program is open to all boys and girls ages 4 to 12 at all levels of ability and experience throughout the year.
