Merrily rolling along: 19th annual Buzzards Bay Bike Ride to cruise through Tri-town
The annual Buzzards Bay Coalition Watershed Ride is back this Saturday, Oct. 5 for its nineteenth year.
Participants can ride along 100-mile, 77-mile or 41-mile routes that will wind through the South Coast.
The 100-mile route starts at Sakonnet Point located at 99 Bluff Head Avenue in Little Compton, Rhode Island.
The 77-mile route starts at Horseneck Beach State Reservation located at 163 John Reed Road, Westport.
The 41-mile route starts at Red Brick Farm located at 63 Long Plain Road, Mattapoisett.
Cyclists will travel along significant bike paths including the Phoenix Bike Trail and Mattapoisett Rail Trail connecting Fairhaven and Mattapoisett.
The Coalition recommends spectators gather at Red Brick Farm in Mattapoisett from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
All routes will finish at Swope Center located at 5 North Street in Woods Hole.
This annual bike ride is to raise money for the Buzzards Bay Coalition who protect the multi-use Bay through advocacy and education.
