MARION — Help the town of Marion say “goodbye” to longtime Finance Director Judy Mooney, and say “hello” to new Marion Finance Director Heather O’Brien at an open house on Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Marion Town House conference room. 

Mooney, who has served as the town’s finance director for over 20 years, announced her retirement in August. O’Brien was chosen as Mooney’s successor in September after a pool of applicants was narrowed to three finalists. 

“She has far and away more experience than any [other candidates],” said Marion Select Board member Norm Hills at a Sept. 28 meeting of the Select Board. “I think that [O’Brien] should be the recognized choice.”

Light refreshments will be served at the open house.
