Children’s events at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library

Graphic Novel Book Club. Author Violet Chan Karim will discuss her book “Summer Vamp” on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m. via zoom with the library’s Graphic Novel Book Club. Karim will also do a short Q&A with the group.

Patrons must register for the event online or over the phone and are encouraged to pick up a copy of “Summer Vamp” at the library.

Spooky screening. Attend a screening of “Hotel Transylvania” at Mattapoisett Library on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes, and snacks and refreshments will be provided.

No registration is required for this event.

Halloween plushies. Kids ages six and up can attend a no-sew Halloween plushie making workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will use hot glue, so adult supervision is required.

Supplies are limited, and registration is required for this event.

Fall storytime. Fall storytime will take place every Thursday and Friday until Friday, Nov. 21.

On Thursday, Family Storytime will be held at 10:30 a.m. Baby Storytime is every Friday at 10:30 a.m.

No registration is required for storytime.
