Event Date:
MARION — The Sippican Woman’s Club presents their 38th annual holliday house tour, “Holiday by the Sea,” on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Arrive at 10 a.m., “early to start your seaside holiday,” at Handy’s Tavern, 152 Front St., “while delighting in glee with the Dickens Carolers,” a news release from the Sippican Woman’s Club said.
“You will be swept away by five stunning homes within this seaside village, each full of character and celebration of the season!” the release said.
There will be a pause to relax at the tour’s “Sugarplum Tea” with light refreshments held at Tabor Academy’s Head of School’s Great Room from 2 to 4 p.m.
That will be followed by “ jingle and mingle afterhours” at the Beverly Yacht Club from 4 to 6 p.m.
“Make sure to take your chance winning your own ‘Holiday By The Sea’, a 2-night stay in a luxurious two-bedroom penthouse suite at Harbourtown in Plymouth!” the release said.
Profits from the tour “go directly back to the community,” and the club has given nearly $500,000 since 1947 in scholarships to local students and charitable giving, according to the release.
Tour and raffle tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance online at SippicanWomansClub.org.
Other events also contributing to the Dec. 7 festivities include the Marion Garden Group’s “Greens Sale Plus” from 9 to 11:30 a.m at the Marion Music Hall and the Marion Art Center’s holiday shop open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
