MARION — After a weeks-long soft opening, Marion’s new olive oil and vinegar store Ripe from the Vine held its grand opening on Nov. 13.
The store, owned by Kelly and john Zucco of Mattapoisett, boasts dozens of flavors of olive oils and vinegars, which customers can try out in-house.
The Zuccos also offer products from Forno Bakery at the store on Route 6 in Marion.
Before the ribbon cutting ceremony, co-owner Kelly Zucco gave a speech noting how special it was that four months ago, the store was a dream. Now, it’s open for all the Tri-Town and beyond to enjoy.
Kelly said she got the idea for the store after discovering a similar shop in Florida, and realizing that the South Coast had nowhere to buy higher-quality olive oils and vinegars.
Town Administrator Jay McGrail also spoke at the ceremony, congratulating the Zuccos for the opening of the new store.
