Kids and families walked down the streets of the village to show off their costumes and collect candy.

Marion native Charlie Babbitt sat outside his childhood home giving out candy to passersby. He said there was an impressive turnout this year, although slightly lower than last year.
“We always did it, and it’s fun,” he said about participating in the event. “This (house) is up the main drag, and if people aren’t here it’s not very fun.”
Elsa Davison, 13, was one of the many people trick or treating. She dressed up as Elmo, complete with a red hoodie and matching tutu.
She grew up in town, and said the parade is just one stop on her route. She said her favorite part of the event is going to each house for candy, because “trick or treating is really fun.”
