New watercolor workshop offered at the Marion Art Center

MARION — The Marion Art Center will offer a new workshop, Line and Wash Watercolor Batik on Kinwashi Paper, taught by artist Peter Sterling Turner. 

Students will learn to combine waterproof marker linework, watercolor washes and wax resist techniques on Kinwashi paper.

The workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in the Marion Art Center Studio at 80 Pleasant St. 

The cost is $80 for Marion Art Center members and $95 for nonmembers. Registration is available at marionartcenter.org/events.
