Old Rochester District receives literacy education grant

MATTAPOISETT — The Old Rochester Regional School District received a $117,000 grant as part of state-wide funding supporting literacy education. 

The Partnership for Reading Success–Massachusetts grant programs, is designed to help districts, including Old Rochester, implement high-quality instructional materials, expand professional learning for educators and strengthen evidence-based literacy instruction.

The district was among 36 other districts to receive funding for the evaluation, selection, purchase, launch, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials for pre-K through third grade.
