Red Cross Blood Drive to honor two Mattapoisett residents
MATTAPOISETT — There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 57 Fairhaven Road in Mattapoisett.
The blood drive is sponsored by the Noah Curtis Greany Foundation and honors Greany’s Legacy, inspired by Greany’s childhood dream to “find the cure for cancer” and improve survival rates for patients.
The drive also honors Greany’s uncle, Joe Corazzini, who is battling a rare and terminal autoimmune disease. Corazzini has required numerous blood transfusions.
Blood donations are critical for accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients and individuals receiving treatment for cancer, leukemia and sickle cell disease. All blood types are needed.
Community members can help save lives and honor Greany’s legacy by scheduling an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org using sponsor code MATTAPOISETTLEGACY or by calling 1-800-733-2767.
