Rochester Land Trust receives grant for accessible trails
Jun 29, 2026
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Land Trust received a $44,000 MassTrails grant to make one of its trails more accessible.
The funds will be used to install a gravel path with several benches and a picnic table on the Church’s Wildlife trail on Marion Road. This will provide more stable footing and make pushing strollers or using a walker or wheelchair easier.
The half-mile trail will also connect to an improved parking area.
The grant requires a 20% match in funds or volunteer hours. The project won’t begin until these funds have been secured and must be completed within two years.
