Rochester police rescue stranded baby raccoon

ROCHESTER — An unusual animal was stranded in a tree when Sgts. Catherine Connolly and Connor Leddin responded to a call Thursday, June 25.
The two police officers rescued a baby raccoon who had been abandoned by its mother, with Connoly retrieving the animal from a branch while Leddin gave her a boost.
The raccoon was transported to Woodland Critters, a wildlife rehabilitation center in East Taunton.
