Run, Run Rudolph: Mattapoisett Santa Stampede
MATTAPOISETT — Jump into a Santa suit and get outside for a 5K run or walk to support Multiple Sclerosis research.
The Mattapoisett Santa Stampede 5K for Multiple Sclerosis will host hundreds of ‘Santas’ wearing complimentary five-piece Santa suits given away for free at the event — from the red coat and hat, right down to the beard.
Santa suits will be provided for the first 500 adult registrations, 13-years-old and up.
Santa hats and stickers will be provided to the first 100 youth registrations, 12-years-old and under.
The event will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 beginning and ending at Mattapoisett Town Wharf near Shipyard Park.
The loop will be 3.1 miles around Ned’s Point Lighthouse alongside the Mattapoisett Harbor.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female adult finishers along with the top 3 male and female youth finishers.
All proceeds will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis foundation for research and support of individuals living with MS.
