Tickets on sale for 'The Constant Wife'
MARION — Tickets are on sale for "The Constant Wife," Somerset Maugham's play adapted and directed by Marion Art Center director Kate Fishman.
The production is set in the late 1960s, a period of shifting social norms and growing debate over women's roles in marriage and society.
The story follows Constance Middleton, the wife of an unfaithful Harley Street doctor, as she reevaluates her marriage and past choices.
The cast includes Cynthia Johnson, Gary Sousa, Kara McCann, Kristina Dahlene, Maura Van Voris, Michele Letourneau, Robert Mahowald and Genevieve Suman. Elizabeth DaRosa is assistant director, Phoenix Froh is stage manager and Steve McManus is technical director.
Performances are scheduled for Aug. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $23 for Marion Art Center members and $28 for nonmembers, available at marionartcenter.org/events. The Anne Braitmayer Webb Theater is located at 80 Pleasant St.
