Forest and Farm Day to be an unbe-leaf-able day of fun

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Land Trust will host a Forest and Farm Day at Grace Pond Preserve on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The event will run from 2-5:30 p.m. and will include activities for the whole family.

There will be a campfire with s'mores, hot cider and live music. Pine Meadow Farm will be onsite with alpacas, goats and assorted critters. Farmers will also offer a hands-on wool activity, and kids will be able to make a pinecone bird feeder.

Forester Kate Marquis will also be there to highlight the ecological benefits provided by trees while leading an easy walk around the meadow’s forested edge.
