Marion roadway improvements will continue into 2022

Nov 17, 2021

MARION – In presenting the road repavings that have been done in 2021, Town Administrator Jay McGrail said that the roadway improvement project is going to become the 2021/2022 plan, as cold weather sets in and makes road work difficult.

So far, a contractor has made overlay and repaving improvements to Water Street at Lewis Street, Holmes Street to Pleasant Street, Mill Street, School Street and 362 Front Street.

“It’s exciting to see work finally happening,” McGrail said at a Nov. 16 Select Board meeting.

Select Board member Norm Hills said that he “went down Water St. today. It looks pretty nice.”

The town will use the additional time over the winter to do some research, and will present a list of streets that will be improved to Selectmen for approval in the spring.
