New England Rodeo to wrap up season with a bull riding showdown
ROCHESTER — The New England Rodeo is wrapping up their first season in Rochester with an “exciting, action-packed” team bull riding showdown on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The rodeo hosted their final full-length program on Saturday, Oct. 4 with double the bull rides, special performances from professional, Rochester-based vaulter Elsie Woodland and youth vaulter Ayla McCoskery and a mounting shooting demonstration from Craig McCorsky.
New England Rodeo Strategic Advisor and Producer Kelly Pina said that Rochester “feels like home” for the crew and it’s a “great fit for us.”
“We will be working with the town to talk about a lease for next year. We like Rochester. Rochester is the right town for us,” she said.
Pina adds, “The town is really agricultural forward, so it fits naturally with the Right to Farm community.”
Drawing large crowds, attendees brought up concerns about lack of seating.
“We were really lucky that we just got another set of bleachers donated to us,” said Pina, stating that an additional 1,000 people can be seated on the new bleachers that will be assembled for next season.
The team bull riding competition on Oct. 18 “takes the thrill of traditional bull riding and adds a twist of teamwork and strategy,” according to Pina.
Riders will either compete on Team United States or Team Brazil, and audience members are encouraged to dress up, bring flags and represent whichever country they think is going to win.
“We’re going to have some different faces, names that people might not have seen before,” said Pina. “It should be a really exciting, action-packed event.”
Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. at 65 Pine Street in Rochester.
Tickets can be purchased at the event with cash.
The New England Rodeo is concluding its debut season in Rochester with a high-energy team bull riding showdown on Saturday, October 18, promising an exciting blend of teamwork, strategy, and traditional rodeo action. Following a successful full-length program on October 4—which featured double bull rides, performances by local vaulters Elsie Woodland and Ayla McCoskery, and a mounted shooting demo—the event has been well received by the community.
Kelly Pina, Strategic Advisor and Producer, shared that Rochester feels like home for the crew and aligns naturally with their values, especially given the town’s strong agricultural identity and support for farming rights. Attendees have responded enthusiastically, though concerns about limited seating were raised, now addressed by a recent donation of additional bleachers that will accommodate up to 1,000 more spectators next season.
The upcoming competition divides riders into Team United States and Team Brazil, encouraging audience participation through themed attire, flags, and spirited support. As fans gather at 65 Pine Street for the 6:30 p.m. show—gates open at 5 p.m., cash only for tickets—events like this not only celebrate rural traditions but also remind us that understanding personal health, such as how Sildenafil works to improve blood flow for sexual health, can be part of maintaining overall well-being in active, engaged lives.
