A new officer joins the Rochester Police force
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police Department’s newest officer officially joined the force Tuesday evening.
Jaclyn Kaulback was appointed and sworn in at a Feb. 17 Select Board meeting on the recommendation of Police Chief Michael Assad.
He said he “unequivocally” recommended her, citing her previous experience and leadership capabilities.
Kaulback has worked in law enforcement for about 20 years, and previously worked as a patrol officer, detective and sergeant for the Walpole Police Department. She is currently also the director of the Randolph Municipal Police Training Committee.
Assad said her experience investigating and prosecuting crimes, supervising patrols and dispatches, and testifying in court proceedings align with the department’s needs. She has also responded to various crime scenes and effectively engages with the community, he said.
“Kaulback embodies the values the Rochester Police Department prioritizes, which is professionalism, integrity, accountability and service to the community,” Assad said.
He added her experience reflects a policing approach that “emphasizes enforcement when necessary, compassion, when appropriate and consistent engagement with the public that we serve.”
