Storywalk and vernal pool discovery with the Mattapoisett Land Trust
MATTAPOISETT — Storytimes and a nature walk will take place at Mattapoisett Land Trust locations this April.
Storytimes. On Tuesday, April 21, from 10 to 11 a.m., young children are invited to Wiggle Worm Story Time.
Hosted at Dunseith Gardens, participants will hear “Carl and the Meaning of Life” and other stories.
Readings by land trust members Jocelyn Mitchell Chin and Bethany Couto will be followed by a walk to observe signs of spring, find some worms and plant a marigold to bring home.
Vernal pool walk. On Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. Gary Johnson will conduct a Vernal Pool Walk at the Woodcock Preserve.
This mature forest, located near 32 Long Plain Road, is home to one of the largest vernal pools in the area.
Off-street parking is available in the area marked with a Buzzards Bay Coalition/Mattapoisett Land Trust sign.
