After several inches of snow covered the area this weekend, winter activities abounded Monday, Jan. 19.
In Rochester, father-son duo Colby Olson and Tate, 5, took to the large hill near the Highway Department on Ryder Road to ride their sleds.
Colby Olson said he and his son had been out in the snow since 6 a.m. with only a break for lunch.
“We’ve been out the whole rest of the day, since before sunrise,” he said. “We’ve built some forts and stuff at the house, and some snowmen.”
Tate said while he enjoyed sledding, building snowmen and having snowball fights are his favorite snow-day activities.
