Bulldog Pride Alumni Association to host homecoming events

MATTAPOISETT — The Bulldog Pride Alumni Association will host homecoming events for Old Rochester Regional High School alumni and friends in October.

During the homecoming football game, which kicks off at 6:30 on Saturday, Oct. 10, there will be a dedicated alumni area behind the end zone. Visitors can learn more about the alumni association’s work in the school’s community.

To enter the grounds, all attendees must purchase a ticket. The alumni association is not involved in ticket sales. 

Following the game, alumni can visit The Stowaway, an alumni-owned business at 35 County Road, for drinks and socialization. 

Complementary light refreshments will be served, and special cocktails will be available. A portion of the proceeds from these drinks will be donated to the alumni association. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. 

The fourth annual alumni homecoming celebration will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. This year the event will be held at alumni-owned River Junction at 27 Wareham Road in Marion.

There will be a section reserved for Old Rochester alumni, with complementary refreshments and a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. 

The class of 1991 will be celebrating its 35th reunion during the event. There is no entrance fee for either evening gatherings. 

This year, the alumni association is aiming to fundraise $10,000 to support its program providing awards to underserved students. Much of its fundraising comes through efforts during alumni weekend.
