Violent domestic disturbance leads to one arrest, two hospitalizations

ROCHESTER — A man was arrested Friday evening after police responded to reports of a physical domestic disturbance that sent two people to the hospital. 

Theodore Labelle has been charged for two counts each of mayhem, "assault to murder," and domestic assault and battery. He has also been charged with assault with intent to maim, strangulation/suffocation, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 

Information from an initial 911 call indicated a female victim had been seriously injured. At the scene, police found two injured people and aided them until medics arrived. Both have been transported to area hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries.

Once Labelle was arrested, officers investigated the scene and processed it for evidence.

According to a statement from the police department, "Because this matter involves an alleged domestic violence incident and remains pending before the court, no additional information regarding the victims will be released at this time."
