Final days to sign up for the annual Quahog Reading Program
MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Free Public Library is hosting the Quahog Reading Program for all students across the Tri-Town in grades 3 through 6.
Sign-ups close at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28. Participants can win prizes and invitations to other reading events including the Pizza Party on April 29.
Participation is completely free and there are plenty of copies of all 20 books at the library that count towards the program.
Many of the titles are also freely available digitally on library apps like Hoopla and Libby.
The Quahog Reading Program is in its 13th year, and there is a great selection of books for the program this year. Notably, Pocket Bear by Katherine Applegate, Snoop, by Gordon Korman, and The Undead Fox of Deadwood Forest, by Aubrey Hartman.
The full list of Quahog Award candidates, as well as more information about the Quahog Reading Program, can be found at mattapoisettlibrary.org or give the library a call at (508) 758-4171.
