Marion Candidates’ Night

MARION — Hear from candidates running in this year’s town election at the League of Women Voters of the South Coast’s candidates’ night.

The group will hold the event Thursday, April 23 from 7-9 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Sippican School. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6:45, and campaign materials are not allowed inside

Attorney Jack Eklund will moderate the evening.

All candidates for town offices have been invited, and will have a chance to speak during one of two components. Unopposed candidates will have five minutes to introduce themselves and share why they should fill the role. 

Audience questions will not be included in this portion.

Candidates in contested races will be able to participate in an issues forum. They will give a two-minute opening statement, then answer audience-submitted written questions. 

The League of Women Voters is strictly nonpartisan and does not support or oppose any political party or candidate.
