Marion Concert Band to bring Latin music to town

MARION — The Marion Concert Band will celebrate the music of Latin America at its next concert. 

The Friday, Aug. 14 show, directed by Tobias Monte, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand on Island Wharf. The program will include music from Mexico, Spain, Brazil and the Caribbean, as well as American popular music with Latin-American influences. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear tropical or Latin-American attire.  All concerts are free and open to the public.
