Mattapoisett Republican Town Committee to host political reporter

MATTAPOISETT — Meet political reporter Tim Dunn at the Mattapoisett Republican Town Committee’s next event. 

The committee will host an open community conversation with Dunn on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Niemad Building at 57 Fairhaven Road.

Dunn will discuss current political events and issues affecting Mattapoisett and state government, as well as issues that may be important to voters as the November election approaches.

Dunn brings more than a decade of journalism experience covering local, regional and state news. He has worked at WBSM, Fun 107, WBZ Newsradio, WXTK and FOX News in New York City.  He currently serves as the lead political reporter for the Boston Herald.

The Mattapoisett native grew up in the Point Connett neighborhood and attended local schools.  After graduating from Bridgewater State University in 2015, he began his reporting career at WBSM and Fun 107 in Fairhaven.  He returned to Mattapoisett in 2025 when he took on his current position with the Boston Herald.

The evening will include an opportunity for residents to ask questions and participate in an open discussion about current political developments at the local and state levels.
