Holly, 1, plays with her lollypop while her mother directs new students and their parents to classrooms. MARION — Ahead of school beginning today, students and their families crowded Sippican School to explore new classrooms and meet new teachers.
The school held an open house Tuesday, Sept. 1 to welcome kids back to school and help them get ready for the new school year.
Fourth grader Reagan Tracy and Mikey Waterman excitedly found their new desks and set to unpacking supplies during the open house.
They said they enjoyed their summers off, but are excited to see their friends again.
Mikey said she loved “swimming at home every night” during the summer, while Reagan said the highlight of her summer was visiting her sister in Florida for a softball game.
