MARION — The Sippican Choral Society will be performing a concert entitled “Songs of Peace and Hope” on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at Tabor Academy’s Wickenden Chapel.
The concert will feature selections highlighting the diversity of holiday music.
“Come sing along to classic carols and sway to the rhythms of Austrian and Celtic lullabies, an African Noel, and a Venezuelan folk song about a little donkey,” a news release said. “With these selections and more, we offer you choral music to lift your spirits and nourish your soul.”
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students. The concert is free for children under 14.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the Marion General Store, Isabelle’s in Mattapoisett, Symphony Music Shop in Dartmouth, from chorus members and at the door.
For more information or to purchase tickets, visit sippicanchoralsociety.org/tickets.htm.
The program is supported in part by grants from the Fairhaven, Freetown, Mattapoisett, and Rochester Cultural Councils, local agencies that are supported by the MA Cultural Council, a state agency. The Sippican Choral Society participates in the “MA Card to Culture” program in order to make performances accessible to those for whom cost is a barrier.
