MATTAPOISETT — The ORR Bulldog Pride Alumni Association finalized its schedule for Alumni Weekend 2024. The events from Friday, Oct. 25 through Sunday, Oct. 27 are organized around the annual homecoming game.

The homecoming football game kicks off Friday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. There will be a dedicated alumni area behind the end zone. General admission is $6. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

Immediately after the game, there will be a “Friday Night Lights Social” at 8:30 p.m. at the Bitter End in Fairhaven. A suggested $10 cover charge will be collected by the alumni association to support the Old Rochester community.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, the association will hold its annual alumni homecoming celebration at 7 p.m. at Brew Fish in Marion. There will be appetizers, a cash bar and an auction. Tickets are $30.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, there will be a full brunch with a cash bar and auction at Brew Fish at 11 a.m.

Immediately after, there will be a quarterly executive committee meeting at 1 p.m. Alumni are welcome to attend free of charge and will have the opportunity to offer feedback and ask questions to officers and directors, as well as see how contributions are managed and what work the association is doing.

“Homecoming and Alumni Weekend 2024 is an opportunity for past students and graduates of ORRJHS and ORRHS to reconvene in support of our schools, and to establish an outlet for alumni and friends to volunteer and contribute resources in service to students, teachers, and staff,” a news release said.

The association is a recognized charitable organization and 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations are tax deductible. Funds are earmarked for scholarships, and a new grant program will kick off this fall, according to the release.

In 2023, the association surpassed its $3,500 fundraising goal and recognized a graduating senior in the 2024 class as the first recipient of the Bulldog Pride $1,000 scholarship award.

The fundraising goal for 2024 is $4,000. The alumni association will sell tickets and collect donations at givebutter.com.

All former students and graduates of Old Rochester Regional Junior High School and Old Rochester Regional High School, as well as parents of alumni and current students, are invited to register as members of the Bulldog Pride Alumni Association.
