Marion, Mattapoisett receive road safety grants

The Marion and Mattapoisett Police Departments received state grants to increase road safety. 

The grants are part of a state-wide disbursement of $13 million in federal funding to help make roads safer across Massachusetts by preventing crashes, strengthening traffic enforcement and protecting drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists.

The Marion department received $19,584, and the Mattapoisett department received $24,938.
